I was at a training meeting for family doctors and physiotherapists the other night, and was musing to myself that one of the attractive young women presenters had on a fairly short dress, bare legs, and high heeled sandals. It was a bit shorter than I thought work appropriate but she did look good! I feel like a bit of an old fuddy-duddy thinking that and would never had said to her. It is a difficult line to draw regarding offices and work appropriateness. Neither the cut of my clothing nor style of my footwear could remotely be considered sexy as I like and need stompy shoes.</p> <p>In Finds are some of my fishnet-y hosiery. I think only one pair is a regular fishnet and I wear that pair the least because I find them boring. I love fishnets and when I lived in Italy for the first time 20 years ago I was delighted to find that they were considered appropriate office wear, in black, in other colors, and in my favorite, nude (a super-subtle sexy-librarian choice!). My instinct is that on the one hand, black fishnets are too much for American offices, if that's where you are, but on the other hand, they are subtle enough that I can't even make out that they are fishnets in your photos! Perhaps if you wear them with the rest of your outfit being deliberately not provocative, for lack of a better word, like with your very cute baggy sweater dress, and then what, maybe some cool ankle boots that are either flat or with a chunky heel, rather than something vixen-ish, you could wear them to work? Depends a bit on your industry, too!
