I have fussy feet and bunions, and I can say these are very very comfortable (for me), plus they have a rubber sole. Yay! They have a similar look to the ones you tried. If you have a very narrow foot they might not work. Approved by my adorable 20-y-o neighbor, so I feel good about the style.

I'm a fan of the Jensen boots too. I wanted them last year when the style came out, but didn't buy, and then this year when they still felt fresh I got the green suede ones. I am not 100% convinced of them as work wear. I guess it depends on the setting.

This pair of Acne Jensens, with the textured black leather, might be the most gorgeous black booties I have ever seen. But I don't know that I can handle that price. Ugh. Maybe in November if I don't buy anything else, at all, until December?

Just putting in a pitch for the acne jensens. They come in a host of colors and the suede is very comfortable. If you can justify the price.

hahaha Lisa! Okay, I fixed that nightstand this afternoon - it's good as new. It was cheap, but anyway, it is FIXED now. (PS It was fun wielding the hammer.)

Where I have landed:

The Mangos and the Valentines went back.

I ordered the black Everlane Chelseas and hope they work, because I really want a pair of daytime, casual Chelseas. I will report on these.

I still need a pair of dressy low-heeled black booties, in part because my black suede Cole Haans are not comfortable to stand/walk in for long. I am still on the hunt. Of course, once I decided on the TopShop Mistics, they were sold out in my size. I'm going to stalk Nordies in case they come back. Otherwise, I'm not sure what I will do, but Lisa, I will avoid dragging you (and everyone else) into the rabbit warren of my brain.

They all look good but I will just give my perspective:

- I would go with something that can be polished and nuggeted if you are hard on your boots, something that can be reheeled.
- if getting two new pairs I would go with two quite different stylings of boot - or otherwise I would just get one and wear it to the death and then replace.
- Whilst the two heeled Mistic and Midnight Topshop ones are both lovely, they are quite similar to the first flatter Topshop ones to my eye.
-
Of all of them I am drawn to the Mistic Topshop and they are different to your Bella Vita with the brown heel.

No, I'm not always right, Viv! I do have a handle on your style and remember your footwear capsule - (I do this for a living and get lots of practice!) - and it was lacking in dressy black boots. And since you work full time, you MUST be well stocked in the dressy black boot department.

Personally I found the Topshop Mistic more comfortable (LOVE that heel), so order both and test their comfort levels for yourself.

Collete, that's a great assortment - thanks for posting. Viv, from that selection the SW's are comfy for lower volume feet. The AGLS's are SUBLIME in every way (very comfy), but pricey.

Really, it's a question or ordering a whole lot in and testing their comfort. The look is there with what has been posted here.

Smittie, I can't decide if I should think about the Mistic because it is similar to the rust Topshop booties (and therefore I know the silhouette works for me) or if I shouldn't (in order to vary my collection). Oye.

Colette, thanks for posting all of your Finds, and for your comments about the Topshop booties. I hope you will comment on the SW Apogeelos once they come in.

I'm excited to hear what you think of the Everlanes! I am tempted, but all of their shoes so far have been too narrow/low-volume for me. These are supposed to be wider, but from the looks I'm not sure they'll work on my feet.

Thank you for the review. I'm currently searching for a pair of casual black booties as well. I had a pair I thought would work (Marc Fisher Chelsea) but they ended up not being exactly right, so my search continues.

I have a pair of Aquatalia Moto boots from NAS and I'm wearing them to death right now. Actually, they were a wildcard for me because they don't exactly fit what I think is my style, but I love them.

I still need a bit more refined casual, everyday boot. Lower, block heels (doesn't have to be flat) are my preference because covered heels get ruined almost immediately on me. I put a bunch of casual boots in my finds that you might not have considered yet. The SW Apogeelo are on the way to me. Next up might be the Tarhari and Via Spiga.

I happened to try on the two dressy Top Shop options from your finds the other day. The Midnight is a horrible fit for me. I'm in LOVE with the Mistic but I think it's just too dressy for my every day needs. If I worked in an office, these would already be in my closet. A similar option to the Mistic seems to be the SE Edith, but it's in suede.

Angie is ALWAYS right. I learned the hard way!!! ;)

Yes, Angie, that's a spot-on question, actually. What might make the most sense is one pair of great chelseas for everyday (maybe the Everlanes) and a pair of very walkable not too-high-heeled dressier black booties for work. Do you think the ones you recommended before would work? Or what about the Midnight? I might prefer them.

I'm on the search for some flat black booties, and this week I received two pairs in the mail. I'm in a bit of a quandary about what to do. What I really want is a pair of somewhat refined black flat booties that I can wear with skinnies and a blazer to work, but I'd also love a pair of more rugged flat booties that I can kick around in, especially on days when the weather is not stellar. I am not kind to shoes, so having an extra pair that I can really beat up is not a bad idea. (I have already worn the burgundy Bella-Vitas about 8 times and they are starting to get scratched up around the heel.)

Mango high shaft chelseas: I like these a lot and am considering keeping them for a kick-around boot. They were cheaper ($120) and I like the style but it's not the most refined boot ever. The leather is okay but not the greatest, and for me, the shaft is a bit on the high side for a flat boot -- it feels a little more masculine (left foot and pic 2, below). To me, it seems like a more trendy Chelsea, but it is comfortable because the footbed is wide. These feel good on and I am tempted to keep them for rainy days and kicking around because they have a nice rubber sole. However, they are very similar to the Everlanes, which I just ordered (see below).

Louise et Cie Valentine: I really like these -- they are beautiful (pic 3), and you can cinch the ankle if you want to, although that does necessitate undoing the buckle to get them on, and then redoing it.These slip when I walk so I am not keeping, sadly.

Next up, the Everlane Chelsea. These are a refined chelsea and I can see living in these -- although that would probably mean they will get too beat up to wear for work. And I guess that is okay, as I can just wear my heeled booties to work in.

Hope these reviews are helpful. If you have any thoughts / ideas, let me know.
