With thick socks, it'sactually the height at the toe and not the width that is pressing down on the top of my toes where the rubber starts. I am usually a 5.5 or 6 depending on width and my foot is wide. Maybe Rae will chime in to say how these fit for her. These are so wonderful but I didn't think about the sock issue. With thicker socks for winter, they absolutely crush my toes because my feet are so wide and my toes so chubby! I sized down per the reviews but should have gotten my regular size. </p> <p>I would be more devastated if I didn't have another pair on the way. And I branched out and got a different color, prune, which looks like a purplish brown.</p> <p>Anyway these are like new - they have been worn maybe 5 times, with thin socks, mostly indoors. They are a true size 5. Supercomfy low heel. The toe is scuffed a little but that is how they came and according to the reviews that is part of the RATE design.</p> <p>Asking $90 plus shipping. They retail at $199 on Nordstrom right now.
