I am much better at avoiding “sales goggles” now too- although these were all on extra sale when I got them they had been on my wish list for a while. As a self-professed “shoe girl” my wish list is always bigger than what I would actually get, and these days that seems to be helpful in fact in honing my eye. They can be the proper size and fit, but still not be comfortable! </p> <p>But the red is super happy and the perforations are cool. </p> <p>I found these loafers yesterday at a consignment shop I hadn’t visited in years. I decided to give it a whirl and found some interesting clothing pieces (including some designer items — Dries Van Noten, Prada), but not in my size. The boots are my favourite ankle length. I only have one pair of high shaft boots and one pair tall boots. I don’t have any cropped winter pants any more. Thus I am not really wearing the high shaft boots. I bought them my first year on YLF, 2017, and had probably not learned enough of the lessons I have since at that stage. They have a very stable block heel but it is still probably too high. Still I only have a tiny number of too-high heels now so am holding on as I may wear them very occasionally.<br /> I feel bad about the shoes because of the carbon credits used to fly them to<br /> and from NZ/Australia. I don’t otherwise feel bad about returning them. I’m a standard European size 36 but that doesn’t make every pair of that size suit my foot, sadly. I have quite a lot of red winter clothing accents. I chose these in the Styletread Easter sale which was 30% off the already sale prices. As a customer since 2016 I think that’s the best discount I have ever seen, it’s usually 20%. I wonder if it means they’re a bit desperate for sales though?<br /> I broke my desire to buy no more than 5 new items this year but sadly the other 2 pairs of shoes hurt my feet and have gone back to Melbourne, which always makes me feel bad. The pointy black Mary Janes hurt at the back of the heel, and the sandals, which would have been so good with my bronze/black swirl pants, hurt my little toes :(<br /> Pics 1/2 outfit for Mother’s Day lunch at Neil’s 88 year old mother’s house.<br /> Pic 3 the boot colour fits my swatches!
