I didn’t do it for years, not aware of a “rule” against it but might have picked an unspoken one up subconsciously? I am still a very matchy-matchy person. In 2018 I bought an interesting transitional weight top on sale for $60 which has very dark navy embroidered flowers on it, on a black background, and I wear it with black pants, so that helped to overcome my aversion to wearing the 2 colours together. I am wondering if the top feels a bit dark now for some reason? But I have worn it 54 times so it’s not much over $1 per wear. The kind of thing that I worry if I let it go because I am a bit off it, that I might suddenly wish I had it again. This is a perennial problem for me!
