I like navy a lot with faded denim jeans if white is too fussy. White jeans are easily washed. I love blue too; blue denim is a natural for you. Your new blue oxford would go really well with white bottoms too, if you have any. Is it long enough to stay tucked into your pants? That's something I always check for, so I can wear my shirts different ways. I can't see the details on your knit blazer too well, but those always work really well over tanks or T's. It's a great way to quickly look put together if you unexpectedly have to run an errand. That should take you into Fall/Winter nicely! Good job!&nbsp; </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/birthday-purge-and-a-few-new-acquisitions#post-1293453 Wed, 02 Jul 2014 22:38:29 +0000 ameelizabeth 1293453@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>I figured today would be a good "fresh start" day, or at least a good day to do some major paring down of my wardrobe in order to achieve the more streamlined/thoughtful wardrobe that I want, so I went through and culled a bunch of stuff, some that I've been holding onto for waaay too many years (picture 6...it will all actually end up on scarecrows this fall for our pumpkin patch/fall festival where I work!).&nbsp; It feels really good to get rid of this stuff!</p> <p>I also went through and took a photo of pretty much all of my clothes (except work wear, lounge wear, etc) so that I can digitally see what I have at a glance, make outfits, etc.&nbsp; </p> <p>I did make a few new carefully considered acquisitions today/last night.&nbsp; I had a gift card to Victoria's Secret, so last night I bought a new bra, and I also had a gift card for L.L. Bean, so I picked up the oxford shirt in #3, and the knit blazer in #5 and #7 (I'm excited/anxious about this piece...I've always kind of wanted one but never had one.&nbsp; Any styling tips appreciated).&nbsp; </p> <p>Then today I was in search of some looser fitting summer tops to wear with jeans/skirts/shorts, so I hit TJ Maxx and picked up the tops in #1, #2 and #4.&nbsp; </p> <p>I already knew that I am drawn to blues, but my new purchases, along with all the photos of stuff I took today really affirms that I can't stay away from it!&nbsp; </p> <p>Thanks for looking, if you have any comments or tips on wearing any of the new items I got, I'd be happy to hear them! Off to give the dog a bath...NOT in any of these new items! </p>
