Thanks so much for the input ladies.</p> <p>Meredith I really don't have any flats that aren't Birkenstocks at the moment... I can not buy full heel shoes which is a real pain. I so love ballet flats and oxfords and they are a no go for me. I am still searching though and found a store downtown I need to check out.</p> <p>Suz, as close to ppl as my pants get...sigh. I am still on the perfect pant quest. Wore one of the more dangly pair of earrings as it seemed to go better. Thanks for the topper question as I realy hadn't thought about it. My tuxedo jacket Dottie got me finally made an outing too. My son said I looked good and like I knew what I was doing.</p> <p>Christianne no team tie as a tie would be too much for the event. Generally a jersey and jeans are the required formula for chalk talks and such. Since this is the 20th anniversary of the team and the chalk talks this will be a much bigger event than the usual. Dinner, chalk talk, roast of chalk talk host, silent auction, entertainment with many past and present NHL team members and other celebrities.</p> <p>I convinced dh that we weren't wearing jeans and a hockey jersey but yes we would not get dressed up per se.</p> <p>I plan on wearing the blouse that I got last summer that hasn't gotten enough wear (untucked this time). Luckily it is in team colours. I think my black crepe pencil skirt and dressier shoes will be too much for the event so plan on wearing my black jeans and probably clogs since it is suppose to rain. I hadn't planned on it but my subtle team logo stud earrings might be the right accessory since it is a team event like no other.</p> <p>What do you think?</p> <p>All criticism and helpful advice please. </p>
