They were my first BF's, my gateway BF's. They have upped their game in the pants department lately. Worth a look. Gap jeans never got me either. Nor ON, for that matter. Owned by same company. BR is too -- their pants fit me but their jeans are hit or miss.  You may want to also try eBay - maybe you can find exact same jeans there? You could reinforce with fusible interfacing but it'll peel and might drive you bonkers right there. (Just ask me how I know this.)  Try Kut or Wit and Wisdom from the Rack (or order from NAS). Donna:  I doubt Kohls passes much on, but I did check through the clearance racks, and it might be worth an online check.  I love the softness of the denim, and the minimal stretch --- a rare combination, particularly under $50. Something light like Fusi-Knit or Sof-Knit, maybe--they are soft. I don't know how well it will stay on in the wash; you could stitch it down for the patched-from-inside look, or you could just see how long it lasts without stitching it in place. Bling and distressing is not my thing either. Ah well. Another great brand for me has been Kut. Good fit and no distressing. I got mine at in Nordies. The pair I bought ran big, even for BFs. They stretch a bit, and had I sized up as I had planned, I would have had to belt them on to keep them from slipping over my pear shaped hips. I've had good luck with Lucky lately. (ha ha) They have sales every week or every day, it seems, if you sign up for their emails, so you can usually get their jeans well under $100. Horrors!  I had planned to replace these pants, with a CPW next to nothing, this fall, but I think I'll need to move up the timeline a bit!  I can just see myself with "ventilated" pants on my trip out West. Well, I'll check out ON, and Kut, any other suggestions, under $100 or so?  I've not had much luck with Gap jeans -- they don't get me.  These are J. Lo's from Kohls, and her new version is blinged and distressed, which is not for me! As my great-aunt Lucille used to say, when something wore out (like her 50 year old wringer washer), "It don't owe me a thing."  It's good to have the problem of replacing worn out clothes -- it means I chose well! Oh yeah, and I should have duplicated in the first place, particularly at this price point!
