I find the BB tailored fit to be slightly looser than the BR non-iron shirt I own, which I think is fitted, but am not 100% sure. I haven't tried the other fits.

I prefer the tailored fit - and I wear a size 4. I am a slight build but have IT shoulders and upper back that need a bit of room.

Another fan of Brooks Bros. I'm a 4 in shirts pretty consistently and I am a 4 in their fitted white no-iron dress shirt. Love that shirt.

Thanks, retailgirl and carambola. One last question, how do the different fits compare to the BR fits for those in the know?

The size chart gives garment measures, not body measurements, so go by your regular shirt size. I wear a 2 in the tailored shirt and also 2 in J Crew & BR, if that helps. Also, if memory serves, there was an old thread here where someone was trying to decide on size and cut and found Brooks Brothers customer service incredibly helpful.

I wear a six or eight in a brooks brothers shirt, (i usually buy eight, but could get by with a six except i have long arms.), and I wear a six or eight in most brands...talbots, Lauren, lafayette, etc. so go by your size rather than the chart, I think.

For those who like Brooks Brothers, do you go by the size chart? My bust measurement puts me in a size 0 on the fitted shirts, but I normally wear a 6 or sometimes an 8.

Just saw that Brooks Brothers is having a winter clearance sale now, so the non-iron shirts are 50% off. Mostly striped options left though.

Another vote for Brooks Brothers - their no iron white shirt does not wrinkle! Pack it, stomp it, wash it, dry it...it always looks crisp and wrinkle free.

I've had good luck with Banana Republic - my DH has a couple of their no-iron shirts, too. ETA - I make sure to hang and tug everything straight right out of the drier, and sometimes we run them through on "refresh" with steam, too.

Foxcroft and Chico's. I do NOT iron at all, but I wear button downs all Spring and Summer. Both of these brands come out crisp and wrinkle-free straight from the dryer year after year. Some of my Foxcroft shirts are 13 years old. I discovered Chico's about 5 years ago, and those shirts are still going strong as well. Although I have a BR wrinkle-free, I never wear it because it still looks like it needs o be ironed.

I second brooks brothers and they are having a clearance sale through the 14th, I think. Here's a tip for them: follow the washing instructions, tumble dry low,you aren't doing your shirts any favors by air drying. You'll only have to press them! They are all I wear and they always look great. I don't see a lot of difference between fitted and tailored. The classic is too boxy for me. I also have some from their outlet store, 346 label, and they are great too.

My apologies if this topic has already been covered. I did do a search for no-iron shirts, but I didn't come up with a thread discussing which ones were preferred over others.

I am looking to replace a few for everyday work purposes. I currently have BR shirts, and I like them just fine, but I do notice that sometimes the collars aren't really looking up to my standards.

Who has an opinion on which no-iron shirts are the best? I would prefer not to pay more than $60 for a shirt though I am willing to stalk for sale prices in order to get to this range.

If you have other advice for achieving a crisp (but not super crisp) shirt look that doesn't require a ton of ironing, I'd love to hear it. Bring on your recommendations!
