I have worn Jane Iredale for years, and it's great. However, in looking for a better foundation color, I came across Aromaleigh, which is comparable and slightly less expensive. It seems to wear just as well. I live in a humid climate and have vacationed in Central America, where it is even more humid.

I live in a hot humid city, and really, when it's really HOT there is nothing that fully works lol! I've tried some fancier brands, but I keep coming back to Revlon ColorStay for normal to dry skin, with a Revlon Age Defying Powder on top (my skin is dry). I've also heard good things from locals about Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish 24 hour foundation, so I will probably try that next.

My skin type is slightly oily in the Summer months and I prefer a medium/full coverage because of my hyperpigmentation. I have been wanting to try the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser but I'm not too sure if it would be for me, Megan K + The Closet Hound.

I agree with Laura Mercier Oil Free tinted moisturizer. It is a staple in the summer in Texas.

Could you tell us more about your skin type and coverage preferences?

I have combination skin that goes a bit shiny in the warmer months and I love Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer; in fact, I wear it year-round and have begun to prefer it to my previous go-to foundation (NARS Sheer Glow). I like to set either one with one of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders for a really sheer, glowy finish!

I also like Jane Iredale. I have used both the pressed mineral powder foundation and the BB Creme which dries to a matte powder like finish. Either feel the same to me and work well in humidity. I don't like the tinted moisturizer. It has an annoying perfume. I found it too distracting.

I also like Elea Blake products. They make some wonderful finishing powders. Equilibrium, or Soften are both nice choices to help when the weather is hot and humid.

I've been enjoying the Jane Iredale PurePressed mineral foundation powder: https://janeiredale.com/us/en/.....neral-foun. It has SPF 20, so it gives some extra sun protection (I wear it on top of an SPF 30 moisturizer). I do one layer of the foundation, then spritz with the Jane Iredale Pommist, then do another layer and spritz again.

If you don't have a lot of product sensitivities like I do, you could probably find something comparable to this product for less cost. I think too that you could easily spray down the layers with plain water to set them; I don't know that you have to use a fancy spray. I really like this foundation, because it feels weightless and doesn't cause me problems in the high humidity.

If you live somewhere very humid, then I'd leave off the foundation altogether. Stick with waterproof mascara and eye and lip liners. I'd use cream blush, too, to avoid it becoming patchy.

Hello,

I am looking for some makeup recommendations for the humid weather since it is nearly here!
I like the Estée Lauder double wear foundation but I also need something a bit lighter because there's nothing worse than feeling like your foundation is melting off!
