I have nothing constructive to add to what everyone else has said. I liked everything, especially the silver jacket and red top. I even like the yellow shirt with the red layer under it. I don't think i's too boxy. It's just a little more loose and casual.

Finally. I’ve gotten to this thread. (Nice pics Sihaya):

1.	Very pretty outfit. Just needs a narrower belt and a smarter shoe.

2.	I’ve seen you in this casual outfit many times. It works. We’re just comparing it to loads of highly waist defining outfits. You may have lost weight since you bought this shirt too.

3.	KILLER. This outfit scores 10. Don’t tamper with perfection! What is worrying you about adding a layer on top? Keep it very sleek and leave the next layer un-buttoned. Let the frills take centre stage

4.	KILLER. I’m the odd one out. I LOVE the combination of the top with the silver jacket. Exciting. Belt works well with the top and jacket in this ensemble. It scores a 10 too. I love how you’ve dressed down the glitz of the jacket with casual shoes and jeans. Funk and edge at its best. Well done!

I think it's all great for the most part. Love the ruffle blouse. It's a ten and I think will be very versatile. With respect to the casual yellow, it seems like the red piece is just coming out of nowhere at the bottom so bringing the color up to the neck somehow might help with that.

I agree with the other ladies. I love seeing your pictures and think you have fabulous style. Yeah!

1. I like this shirt that I got at NAS.
Agree. Like the top, but the belt feels too wide.
2. Great outfit. I think some red peeking out at the top would be nice, too. Jeans look great on you.
3. Gorgeous blouse. Would love it with cardis, blazers, vests (a la Tanya), pants and skirts. Great find!
4. I like the red top and the silver jacket, and the proportions look good together. The belt feels much better when it's worn under the jacket. The belts do seem to be hitting you a bit high. I think you can do a lot with that jacket. I would love to see it with white, for example.

Wow - thank you all SO much. I am overwhelmed by your generosity and talent. This is such a great forum. I have much to think about and work on with these outfits and am excited by the prospect. Will work on posting as I continue the journey.

Shiny I'm intrigued by your idea of trying the silver jacket with white jeans just because I would never have thought of that and it sounds unique. I don't own white jeans but have white pants I'll try it with.

Patience and Mirah - I'm curious what you see specifically in me that makes you think of my style as distinctive and individual respectively?

JuliJuli - I haven't been to Madeira yet. I've been to Lisbon three times, also to Cascais and Obidos. My husband grew up partly in the Acores so I'd love to go visit both the islands with him next time.

Dani - we'll have to arrange for a way to accindentally bump into each other in the street and put our claims to the test :-)

And yes!!! I LOVE my red watch. It's a Swatch that my husband bought for me a few years ago and is so me.

Thank you again.

Sihaya, I don't have anything unique to add (my thoughts were already covered by the other ladies) but just wanted to echo Shiny's suggestion of wearing that white blouse shopping and see what looks good over it. I do that with certain tops and often I'm surprised by what works.

You have a great style...and as you once mentioned, I think I would definitely recognize you if I met you on the street Thanks so much for sharing!

I love your disclaimer of being "ENTP", so funny. :D

Here are my opinions:

1. Belts - both belts are two wide for this ensemble. I would wear them with a dress or if worn with separates I'd keep the colors close or wear it with a long pants like in your last pictures so the belt won't cut you in half.

2. Yellow shirt - the color combo is super but the shirt is plain by itself. You could pop it up with a long necklace or belt, also you could wear a short sleeve sweater or vest over it. It's not that bad but it could be better.

3. White top - super 10! I love all suggestions others have mentioned. Other than those, maybe you can put a long sleeve T-shirt with black and white stripes under it, and/or add a skinny belt over it, that way the beautiful ruffles won't be covered.

I echo what have been said about your red watch, it's so unique and beautiful!

OK w/out reading any other comments...

I think the red belt is too wide for you. But when you wore a belted top with the silver jacket (which I absolutely LOVE!!) the belting looked so much better. So maybe wearing belted tops under a jacket or cardi is the answer.

I love the white blouse you got in Lisbon. And I"ve made my love of the silver jacket known already.

I also like your red watch (or is that a bracelet)?

The yellow shirt with red underneath is a great color combo. I think the top lacks waist definition, but some days I just don't feel like defining my waist--so I could totally see the draw to that outfit on those kind of days.

Comments not in order....

First, that white ruffle blouse is absolute Killer - a 10!! I love it. Wear it shopping and try on with a variety of jackets and cardis - you will be surprised what will work with this. I could see this with a range of things - from a motorcycle leather jacket (for funky look) to a velvet jacket (for dressier/more romantic look) to a soft cashmere cardi left unbuttoned (try Jcrew) to a tweed jacket. I'm guessing you may need a portrait neckline (I think that's what it's called) - something that forms a V. But not necessarily. You just need to get out there with the shirt on to try things on and see what works.

And you need dark-wash jeans in straight or skinny to go with this blouse! It's not just for skirts.

The belts: I could be wrong but it seems to me that you are very high waisted (as am I). It may simply be the belt is too wide. But another theory: Where you are wearing your belts, which is at your smallest part of your figure, it seems to me it is doing something funny with your lengthwise proportions - making your bottom half look too long compared to your top half. Does that make sense?

It may simply be that the shirts are too long - try a shorter length shirt to test this theory out. A shorter length shirt (hitting at high hip) may then give you the illusion of endlessly long legs.

Alternatively, maybe what you need is a belt in a larger size (not wider but longer) that you can wear lower, creating the illusion of a lower waist? It's really hard for me to say. I'd experiment.

Shirt #2: I think this top needs something - probably a layer over top to carve out a waist - like a cropped cardi or a jacket or a vest. May also want to consider tailoring to have some darts taken in at the back. It looks loose on you.

#4 - the belt with the longer top creates a better proportion - which kinda blows my other theory... or maybe it's an either/or thing? Either the top needs to be longer, or shorter, to work with that belt.

I do like the jacket, but as others said, not with this particular top. Tanya has some good ideas. I'm also wondering... what about the jacket with white jeans? If you are petite, it may give you a sorta monochromatic line.

Hi Sihaya..you do have a strong individual style!
1 and 2. I love the first outfit and agree with Patience, that the red belt works. I give it a 9.

3. The 'off' thing about the outfit is the shape of the shirt and to me it does not accentuate your shoulders very well (maybe its only in the photo)

4.looove the blouse! a perfect 10. Along with a cardi, a fitted jacket left unbuttoned will work great with this blouse.

5.The red top fits great and as the others say, the jacket and top arent the best combination.
The silver jacket is sort of a statement piece on its own and maybe keeping the rest of the outfit monochrome would be a dramatic look. For CRS, the red top/skirt outfit gets 9 and the silver jacket by itself gets 9.5

the red watch is seriously killer !

Hi Sihaya, here are my thoughts ( very simiilar to aj's):

1. I love the idea of the red belt with this, but I'd try a skinnier one. This one might work with a dress though, considering that the black one looks great with a longer top in photo 4.

2. The outfit is great, but the shirt is a bit baggy. Maybe a tailor could put in some darts?

3. Love, love that top. It gets a perfect ten. I think it's a great piece for fall. I'd try the following over it: a menswear vest, a V-neck cardi left unbuttoned but belted with a thin belt ( e.g. deep purple cardi and black patent belt), a fitted blazer buttoned only with one button at the middle ( maybe plaid, or tweed), a denim jacket, a black leather biker jacket ( the last two worn open, but need to be fitted).

4. Love both the top and the jacket ( both get 9.5), but agree with aj that the colors do not seem to go well together. Maybe because the first one is warm and the second one very cool? I try the top with black, brown, cream, olive cardis/jackets and denim jacket. The silver jacket would look amazing over tops in deep jewel colors: cobalt, royal purple, emerald green, fuschia, ruby red, black. I love how those jeans fit you. if you are getting a second pair, I'd look for a more uniform super dark wash.

I love the pieces you picked up in Lisbon, and I am glad you had fun there. And red is indeed your signature look, it is incorporated in your every photo. Pretty!

Hi Sihaya,

I'm still learning as well - but here is my feedback. #1 - I love the shirt but think it looks best with the black belt. Is that belt narrower than the red one? I do really like the look of the belt. #2 - I think the outfit needs something to make it stand out as 'yours' because the rest of your looks certainly do. #3 - I think the blouse and skirt are a 10. You look fantastic. #4 - I think the top with the belt is a 10, I'm not sure that the jacket quite works. Sorry I didn't use the CRS for all of the looks.

I was excited to hear that you enjoyed Portugal and Lisbon. My parents are from Portugal and always enjoy going there. My husband and I love it - we were married in Madeira - have you been there?

1 - 10. I love the top and the shorts. I think the belt works but it is very distinctive so maybe it will take some time to adjust your eye. The black belt works too but I like the pop of the red.

2. The shirt is just too boxy.

3. Blouse is a 10. I think you could definitely wear it with a cardi or jacket with an open neck so that the blouse collar could sit on top. Thinking V neck here.

4. The blouse pattern isn't my favorite personally but with the belt - 7.5. The jacket is a 9 but to me the photos aren't showing the color of the jacket and the blouse working well together.

I'm starting to see your relationship with red. Somehow it just seems incorporated into your body when you wear it. I still say you have got one of the most distinctive styles I have ever seen.

Sihaya, I'm still a newbie but I'll jump right in. I'm sure others will have more specific (and better) comments.

1) I think that a red belt would look good with that top but I agree that red belt doesn't quite work. Maybe its too wide on a top with so much design to it.

2) I like the color combo but the shirt doesn't show off your figure.

3) It seems to me that a slim fitting cardigan left unbuttoned to show off the ruffles would work.

4) The top with the belt is a 10 (love it!) and the silver jacket is a 10 -- but I am not sure they are a 10 together.

I've heard that Lisbon--and Portugal in general--is a great place to visit. I hope you enjoyed your trip.

Here are pictures of some outfits I've worn over the past week and half. I would love your feedback. Please use CRS. Remember I'm ENTP in Myers Briggs so you won't be hurting my feelings by providing direct feedback So true that things are looking different when I see photos vs. when I look in the mirror.

1. I like this shirt that I got at NAS. It's not as form fitting as I'd like so I thought I'd belt it. But I don't think the red belt is working, is it? Should I return this red belt - is it too wide for my petite sized torso? What about the black belt?

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....20Belt.jpg

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....20Belt.jpg

2. A casual outfit that I wear frequently but doesn't look "right" in the photo - any feedback?

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....Yellow.jpg

3. This is a blouse I bought during my recent trip to Lisbon. I'd love feedback. Also, I'm trying to figure out how to extend the wear on it in the fall. I'm having a hard time picturing this with a jacket or sweater given the frills in the front?

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....0Front.jpg

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....20Side.jpg

4. Red top from NAS and silver jacket from Lisbon. These are one of my fav jeans from Gap. They're 2 yrs old and I need to renew them.

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....20belt.jpg

http://cid-5333dbd44da303c0.sk.....jacket.jpg

Thank you so much in advance!
