Thanks ladies. Vanity sizing is such a funny thing. I have 2 medium belts from the 90's and both are several inches shorter than the "small" belt.

Maya I just had two skinny belts altered by my cobbler. The cost was $8.70. He took the buckle off and cut the leather so there is not an ugly unfinished end. I have also had numerous holes punched in belts for no charge. I will never pass up a sale belt that is too big again.

Maya, What is the material? Leather, vinyl or fabric?

If it's leather or vinyl, I'd bring it to a cobbler. If it's fabric, I'd bring it to a tailor. I'd guess the price tag would be lower for fabric ($15-20?) and higher for leather ($20-30) But I'm totally guessing.

I made the mistake of ordering a belt from ATL in a small, but I have been looking forever for a skinny turquoise belt and it was only $7.99. I want to wear it as a cinch belt but it's way too big and there aren't enough holes, so even if I poked an extra hole, there would be so much excess hanging off. Can I have it cut down and get an extra hole added? Who does this sort of thing and about how much would it cost?
