Vix: thank you! I saw the dress on a mannequin and had to try it on, and it ended up being perfect on me. Can't wait to wear it with the OTK boots!

Cheryl: thanks!

Maneera and Shevia: The bomb.com is indeed an amusing way to express enthusiasm :-)

Celia: Nice to hear that we are blouse twins!

LaP: I got the S today and surprisingly trying on both I decided to go with the XS. I tried it with a chunky sweater and a blazer and the XS fit like a glove but still allowed for motion, whereas the S felt a little big over all. I guess I liked the sleek fit of the XS and it felt warmer to me because of its sleekness. Our cold snap starts tomorrow so I'm going to start wearing it tomorrow!

Angie: yes, I did see your beautiful holiday frock! I wish I had any holiday parties to go to so I could wear frocks to them My company used to have one but it's been cancelled for a few years now.

I bet the small will work for you in the puffer. I purchased a Pata rain trench this summer and was certain I needed a small for layering, since basically all my gear jackets are a small, but after wearing it a couple times I had to admit I was swimming in it and exchanged for an XS. This parka fits just the same. But I'm scrawny on top -- like still-wears-kids-tshirts scrawny. ;)

And oh my goodness those bell sleeves peeking out of the jacket -- perfect! You're really rocking the prints here. I tire too quickly of allover prints in my own closet, so I'll just have to sit back and enjoy them on you.

We are blouse twins :)
The first outfit looks perfect on you. Love the way the blazer picks colors from the blouse.
The boots are gorgeous and I like them with the dresses.
With pants I was wondering if you kept it more tonal how would it look. In #4 I find that there are too many layers of colors to my eye.

Others have said it for me, just had to chime in on how *especially* great that dress in #6 is on you! The OTK boots definitely give it a little more oomph than knee-high ones.

I had an epiphany this morning--I think I'm having trouble with the pants+boots look because the hem of those tops is straight--I bet it would look a lot better to my eye with a curved hem. I did try a tunic and didn't like that that match either, but it was a straight hemmed tunic.

Tanya: I live in your old stomping ground It's definitely cold here but I think I only need one long puffer, especially since I also have a new short one.

Astrid: thanks, I know I will really enjoy wearing them with skirts and dresses, and they are very comfy and made for lots of walking.

DianeG: I love the color combo of the blouse+jacket too, and you noticed the little bell peeking out, which is a detail I also quite liked :-)

Suz: I did try a tunic, but I think I need to try it with something that has a long curved hem. And good wisdom on the puffers--I think this is usually one case where it pays to size up.

Janet: I am considering getting gray jeans for that very reason :-)

Alasse: thank you, I Like the color combo myself!

Zoiechic: thanks!

SaraL: yes, it's easy to wear them with above-the-knee skirts and dresses. Fortunately I have a LOT of those. But I think they'd look good on you with pants, and you'd have fewer climate issues to deal with re: suede.

The jacket and blouse are a great combination and very flattering on you.

I love the boots, both with pants and with dresses. I think it's easier to wear them with dresses/skirts than pants. That's one reason I haven't pulled the trigger on a pair that have been sitting in my shopping cart for months. I'm just not sure I have enough dresses to wear them with and I don't know how comfortable I'll be wearing them with pants.

No advice on the puffer as I've never worn one (not cold enough where I live).

I think they all look great. #1 is so fab! I think the boots work with everything here, but I understand the comfort level issue with the jeans + OTK boots. I think you look great in them, but the easiest way to ease into the look is by matching the boots and jeans.

Those boots are just so amazing. I hear you on the dress vs. pants...but I think maybe it's a matter of proportion -- you need a longer tunic top to make this work. Even then it might not feel right to you (I say this as someone who finds tunics just impossible to get right due to proportion issues -- even if others might say it looks okay, I always feel "off.")

The puffer looks really promising, too. I hope the next size works well for you. I sized up to a S in the NorthFace thermoball and am glad I did. The XS technically fit but would not have been as easy for layering, and this one is not loose.

I love you in the BR blouse with jacket. WOW. Gorgeous colours for you!

Ooh, so much to love here! The first outfit is so fab. I love the way your jacket picks out the colours in your blouse and the cuffs are pretty peeping out under the blaze sleeves. The puffer does look good too. The OTK boots are also a winner in my eyes. You look great in them... both with dress combos and your ponte pants. Fabulous!!

Well, I love the boots, they are slam dunk with skirts/dresses. I like them with ponte pants, too, but if you feel uncomfortable, maybe try that with slightly longer top/tunic. The first outfit is amazing as well.
I like the navy puffer, and I would have to see it side by side with the S&K to compare. I forget where you live, but if it somewhere very cold/with lots of snow, I would seriously consider keeping the S&K. I have one and they are the best when the weather gets really bad and chilly. There is also nothing wrong with having a couple of puffer of different weights for different climate conditions - I do that as well.

Like Maneera, I wore a bell-sleeved top from Banana Republic today with black pants and tucked in boots. I threw a red blazer on top of it since the cranberry color of the blazer matched that of the top.

After seeing LaPedestrienne's post of her navy puffer, I decided to try it out too, because my feeling is that the Soia and Kyo puffer is too heavy. The Patagonia puffer is indeed lighter and it's a lovely color--but I think it is too tight in the bust when I wear it with layers. Plus the arms are a bit short, so I've ordered the S. LaPedestrienne wasn't kidding about the small bust but wide hips fit!

And re: the OTK boots, I'm in love but haven't worn them out yet until I get the spray. I am fully confident about wearing them with dresses and skirts (see photos 6 and 7), and I have enough of those to make the boots pretty versatile for me, so that's not an issue.. However, I'm not quite sure of wearing them with pants/jeans. In 4 and 5 I have them styled with the black ponte pants I was wearing--I think the low contrast top is better with them, but am not sure whether this look is suited to someone with longer/skinnier thighs.
