Lovely skirt and I like your styling. I would also encourage you to feel confident to tuck, then we can see more of the skirt and I think it would create lovely proportions.

It's a lovely skirt and you can wear it so many ways. I agree it might be fun to try tucking with this piece, so we could see more of the pattern.

I have a skirt in similar colours (different pattern) and it was one of my 3 season workhorses all last year. I found it worked with almost anything.

You are really on a roll Ann! I like both looks. I think I'd prefer a white top without lace, perhaps, and I agree with the others that the brown would look great tucked or belted. I second the idea of trying a black top, booties or boots with this for fall.

I like the brown top because it has no lace and is "grown up." Your skirt reminds me of the beach...

I really like the white top with that skirt. The brown one tucked would be better like others have said. I like JR's suggestion of pairing the skirt with a bootie for the fall.

I really liked the first outfit, myself. ;o) I'd like to see the last outfit with flat-heeled ankle boots myself, to give the outfit a little more edge. And I also vote in favour of trying tucked in with that skirt. It's got enough volume of its own to hide the "trouble spots". Untucked looks better over sleeker bottoms, to my eye anyway. Keep in mind that I am only one set of eyes.

I like the matchy matchy I agree with the others that tucking the brown tee will make it look more streamlined. I'm not a big tucker either and I hear you on the trouble spots--sometimes a belt can help. You can swap out the sandals for boots too.

Jayne, thanks. I was thinking summer = white, but of course you are right. And I certainly have enough black tops.

Thank you, CocoLion, I am definitely afraid of tucking. Too many years of trying to cover up trouble spots. I need to get over it.

They all work! I'd prefer seeing the white top tucked.

That's a fantastic skirt and it goes so well with the denim jacket. You could also wear a black top with it. Don't be afraid of tucking.

The skirt was an eBay score that I didn't get to wear this summer. So today I decided to put some of what I learned here at YLF to work. The first shot is how I would have worn it this summer -- ho-hum, matchy-matchy. The next shots are an attempt to make the skirt work for now (transitional period) and for later in the fall. Also, you may get tired of my denim jacket. I love it so. Thoughts and critiques welcome...I 'm here to learn. Thanks for looking.
