You've put my mind at ease about the top length. I guess I'm just paranoid...</p> <p>Actually, the foot isn't bad at all. I had surgery for a tailor's bunion (outside of the foot) 9 years ago. The metal pin which was put in at that time had come to the surface (well, it was poking up, anyway) and I had it removed. I am recovering nicely and should get my stitches out and get rid of the dreadful surgical shoe on Friday.
