Thanks for your help, Medusa! Your explanation made perfect sense. I always wonder how accurate those sizing charts are and in this case, it sounds like it's pretty accurate. I'm very likely a medium based on the bust measurement--it's the shoulders and arms that give me trouble. I decided to size up and hope for the best. BTW, I think the black moto jacket you modeled looks fantastic! Too bad the sleeves were too long.

Kellygirl, I just posted a couple photos of me trying on a cropped Bebe jacket in Sarah's thread:

http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....replies=15

I'm 5'6", but I usually buy petite blouses and jackets because I have weird proportions (long legs/short torso and short arms). In stores like Banana Republic and Ann Taylor, petite tops fit me WAY better.

The Bebe jackets - at least the ones I tried - just came in S,M,L rather than numbered sizes. I often fall between a small and medium in many stores; for the cropped jackets I thought the small was better (on me) because it's supposed to be a tight-fitting look. The photos I posted are of me in a small.

After looking at their size chart, it's consistent with what I'd expect. Based on my bust measurement I should be exactly between a small and a medium.

Sorry, I feel like I'm not explaining myself very well. I hope this is helpful.

I've searched for info on Bebe sizing and haven't really found much. Are their sizes comparable to Esprit--where I typically size up rather than down? I like a couple of their cropped jackets--seems like the body and sleeve lengths will work on a petite. Thanks!
