I don't know much about the Beachwaver--just watched a couple of videos right now on YouTube--and am not sure that it would cause your hair to hold curl any better than a regular curling iron. I think its main point is simply the self-rotating feature.

I have extremely fine hair too, and I have to use a LOT of product to get it to hold a curl. I actually have some natural wave to my hair, but this falls out without the use of a lot of product, mainly hard-hold gel (in other words, if I don't use lots of hard-hold gel, my hair will be straight).

If I want to do a lot of curls with a curling iron, I will spray Intelligent Nutrients Volumizing Spray all over my hair first, and then after I curl a section of hair, I will spray it with a bit of the Intelligent Nutrients Perfect Hold Hairspray to make sure it holds. This is on top of the hard-hold gel that is already in my hair from washday.

I think there are two schools of thought on fine hair. One is to use very little product so that your hair is not weighed down. This generally doesn't work for me. The other school of thought is to use quite a bit of product (albeit not a greasy one) so that the product can create shape and texture in the hair. This approach is what works for me.

I cannot attest to the Beachwaver but I've been eyeing it for a long time too!

I wanted to plug this blog for some excellent tips on getting curl to hold:
https://www.thesmallthingsblog.....auty/hair/

There's a great tutorial on applying product (I learned a bunch!) and I her videos on styling to be really lovely and accessible.

Following! I was about to buy this on prime day but I ended up forgetting to place the order. It's super cheap and has good reviews.

https://www.amazon.com/Bed-Hea.....038;sr=8-8

My hair holds curl SO poorly. I was actually thinking about getting a perm again, except the chemicals give me pause since I have been having lots of health issues including auto-immune issues. Last time I went to the salon I really took note of how much product they used and I'm wondering if that is the issue. My hair holds great after the salon but they use so much product.

My hair is fine so holding beach waves in is difficult to say the least. Have read good reviews on the Beachwaver curling iron and hoped it was part of the Anniv. sale. It is but only the larger barrel, not the 1 inch I need for my medium length (between chin and shoulder) hair. I thought I found the 1 inch at Target for 129.00 (Nordstrom's price is 199.00) and asked Nordstrom to price match? They said its not the same...theirs is the Pro Version and the Target one is not...also they o not price match with Target.

Question is has anyone used a Beachwaver and is it worth it? If so, did you have the Pro version vs the Non Pro?

$199.00 is ALOT of money but it would work and keep the curl in ...maybe it is worth it. Or do I just need to use a better hair prep product(s) and then could use a less expensive rotating curling iron.
Thanks in advance.
