It is horrendous here. And we are lucky where we live. My bus was flooded out (road was closed near my house briefly) but otherwise we're fine -- we live on high ground. So many people are&nbsp; struggling, though.Several of my students got stuck up-Island, unable to get past on the Malahat for a few days. A few took ferries to get down to Victoria. Other students were flooded out. Many have basement apartments.&nbsp;</p> <p>People in the interior have it much worse. They had the heat and the fires in the summer and now this.
