With this outfit, the top is not fitted or waist-revealing, but rather floaty and body skimming (not baggy - that should never be the opposite for fitted!). I'm long-waisted, so finding a suitably long top is a chore, but so critical. It was so fun and so easy to put this outfit together...I feel like each piece was chosen for a specific reason/role, and that's so critical when you have a small wardrobe...<br /> Re: the eyeshadow base, I wear Laura Mercier's "eye basics" in flax...oddly enough, while it's marketed as a base, it is also widely used on its own, as the flax color has a lovely subtle shimmer. I really hope that this latest spat of YLF members posting casual looks continues, and I'm happy to contribute to the looks with this offering!</p> <p>I wore this on a lazy Sunday afternoon after church, just to hang out in the back yard with the kids, and later on for a quick run to the grocery store. </p> <p>To me, successful casual means attention to detail. I am also on Team Minimal, so I am wearing only wedding rings, a watch and fun specs. I value quick easy on/easy off shoes, so I picked up these platform slides from Born (after much, much ordering and returning - sorry, Zappos!). I went with the 'color of the moment' - orange - and although it's muted, I have loved it with every outfit I've paired it with so far. Hard to see in the photo, but the toes are done up in OPI's "dim sum plum" fuschia polish. I'm sporting my standard minimalist makeup - tinted moisturizer, eyeshadow base, mascara and lip color.</p> <p>It's not fancy, but I feel pulled together and fab, and it's thanks to YLF for the inspiration! </p>
