Thank you so much for all of your suggestions, I will check each one out. The reason I said cotton is I want a fabric that can "breathe" in hot weather and also not cling or have static electricity as polyester or rayon can. If anyone can provide more leads, thank you again.

Whole Foods carries some maxi skirts and dresses, usually organic cotton in solids and prints. I bought one last summer.

Chico's? I agree with Diana, the cotton part will be the most challenging; most of what I see in the usual mall stores is rayon knit. Macy's tends to have this kind of stuff, although probably more of it in a month or so. Check Lands End, Eddie Bauer and LL Bean if you're good with shopping online.

Saw a bunch while surfing around the Loft site yesterday. Most of the jersey ones seem to be rayon though. (Hey at least it's not polyester.) 40% off the whole site today.

Help please. Looking for solid color or subtle print, cotton (or at least some cotton in the fabric) maxis under$75.00 if this item exists? I am a size XL and find an empire waist is best for me. The usual "go to" places like Target and Old Navy and Gap do not seem to have much that meets this criteria.

Any recommendations much appreciated
