I really like 5 and 8 as well and think you definitely deserve a cropped cardigan for the holiday season because your "pretend" version looks great. I also think 6 could work if you fiddled a wee bit with proportions. The sweater is good and I like the blue with it all but something is a bit off to my eye -- it might only be that you are posing for the photo and that can sometimes mess up proportions a bit.&nbsp;</p> <p>Re footwear -- to my eye the pants look best with a bit of "structure," ie. skin or bone showing or suggested. (I mean, that's how they feel best on me, so I am just extrapolating here...), I like mine with Mary Janes, oxfords or sneakers and bare ankles (mine show my ankle bone), a slightly dressier flat (not useful info for winter in my climate)&nbsp; OR a high shaft bootie that follows the shape of the ankle. Here are the shoes that have worked for me with mine. But again -- I rarely wear mine in winter at all because I get chilly in wide leg crops in winter unless they are made of a warm fabric. I did also hem the pants, only to just above my ankle, but I think it makes them look less sloppy. I know it is hard to tell in pictures where they are hitting. Snapped up this awesome sweater last weekend at Marshall's. I am not generally a red person but love this. Pretend my orange socks are red :)<br />5) I like them with this lacey short sleeved sweater but for winter would need a third layer<br />6) Cropped sweater with short shirt underneath works I think. I don't like to tuck shirts so longer ones probably won't work for this<br />7) Example with one of my oversized shirts. The vest is a bit too long and also the shirt is long so I don't think I would wear this<br />8) Love this sweater but I don't really like it with the pants, not enough contrast I think</p> <p>This was a good exercise for me, I now have a few ways to wear the new pants and an idea of what I need to add to my closet. Still not wild about the shoes I tried but I always like a reason to buy new shoes!</p> <p>Thanks everyone for your advice! </p>
