I know it's a big day for me when I find two pairs of pants that fit and flatter. </p> <p>By chance I found black skinny jeans in a Marshall's in Texas that finally worked for me -- I saw that they were Lucky Brad "Lolita" fit in the size that I have blue Lolita bootcuts, so I took a chance and bought them without even trying them on, which I almost never do (I knew I could return them easily enough). Happily, they worked out. </p> <p>I should probably keep an eye out for dressier black trousers to replace my old ones -- I think they are at least 10 years old, wide leg, and starting to show the wear (even though I don't wear them often anymore). They are a big part of my "somber occasion" capsule, and last time I wore them in January, I didn't feel very fab. I wash them in the machine in cold water, hang to dry, and they haven't faded. I like the BR slim pants and would be trying them if I needed a pair. I recently refreshed with an EF black pant that was on sale.
