I'm currently in California where it's 50-60 degrees during the day, so ballet flats are appropriate. I don't feel comfortable going with bare feet in January though. I also spend time in Chicago but do not wear ballet flats in the winter there. It's just not practical for me. In that climate I wear boots everyday.</p> <p>I wear trouser socks that look like textured hose. They're sheer and the same material as hose.
