I think I'm just trying to follow the formulas a bit slavishly, without adapting them to my location and lifetstyle (as Angie encourages us to do). I'm just now finding my style voice, so when I see an outfit example posted, I tend to want to just substitute in like for like...I'm sure I'll get more comfortable with the process as I add quality pieces in to my wardrobe. I wear almost nothing sockless, and I have the same problem with those insubstantial liners. I found some that have pads on the heel and the ball of the foot, and they are great. The pads also help the things actually stay on my foot. Too cold. </p> <p>Sometimes I do wear my ballets with trouser socks, but I do so knowing full and well that it is not the greatest look in the world, and certainly not YLF approved. But after a certain point, all of my shoes end up rubbing and once that starts to happen I need some sort of friction block. I have tried those little invisible liners, but they don't help. Not substantial enough.
