The Gap jeggings and the Sanctuary skinny cargos. The problem is not that I need overall looser jeans my midsection is my widest point (I'm an applish V shape) do I need to get the next size down and just let it loosen up at the waist?

Often its about the quality. What brand are you wearing?

Sometimes it's about a necessary waist alteration.

Other times its about the need for a higher rise.

IPR, I tend to have the same problem, especially with skinnies. If it fits in the bum/thigh area it puckers at the waist in back. Or is just plain too loose and within an hour I'm constantly hiking them up.

Some brands fit better than others for sure but even that is no guarantee. For instance I just purchased some Mossimo jeggings and a pair of Mossimo skinny cargoes. The cargoes fit like a dream, the jeggings pucker. Guess what's going back...

perhaps trying out different brands? i just discovered cj by cookie johnson jeggings/super skinnies at nordies. they were the first that fit at the waist off the hanger.

you could get the waist taken in, a common and easy enough alteration.

Actually this is about baggy waists I get on almost all my pants- I always get the right size- no muffin top when buttoned- at the store, but then wear my pants and find myself tugging up the waist in a few hours. Am I buying my pants too big? Usually the next size down is fine except at the waist (when at the store, trying it on) where I get a yucky roll over the top of the pants.
Am I making sense?
And what do I do (other than belt, which doesn't work on my figure or with jeggings)?
