A cross body does not have the requisite depth or breadth for this creative contemporary diva. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/bag-upgrades#post-1046653 Mon, 07 Oct 2013 15:24:04 +0000 Thistle 1046653@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>So, after giggling at your post . . .&nbsp; .Yes, I think you did the right thing passing them up.&nbsp; For a bag, wait for perfect.&nbsp; I use mine so often I just won't compromise there. </p> https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/bag-upgrades#post-1046650 Mon, 07 Oct 2013 15:21:19 +0000 Beth Ann 1046650@https://youlookfab.com/welookfab/ <p>Well, some of you may remember that I have a long-term goal of upgrading my bag collection. </p> <p>At "The Feast of the Hunter's Moon," there are many "suttlers" selling goods, and I spied a truly uniquegrouping of natural product bags.&nbsp; I'm amazed they were allowed, because the zipper (hard to see in the photo) is not to period.&nbsp; These bags are indeed "real," but, since they are a little smaller than most crossbodies, I decided to pass.&nbsp; </p> <p>Did I make the right decision?</p> <p>I was "festivaling" this weekend, returning to my roots at "The Feast of the Hunter's Moon," in my hometown of Lafayette, IN.&nbsp; Because of the Feast, my town has 7 -- yep, 7 -- Fife and Drum corps.&nbsp; There are French, British (Redcoats!) and Voyageur corps, plus the dashing Highlanders, who always have a gaggle of young lasses as camp followers.&nbsp; There is something about a man in a kilt!</p> <p>This is a huge reenactment event and, in addition to the troops, there are Oiua and Potawatami tribes represented.&nbsp; So... there are loincloths and breeches, too (singing strains of "I'm not wearing any pants").&nbsp; It is amazing how resourceful&nbsp; these early peoples were.&nbsp; Their clothing was practical and protective, and adapted to changes in body weight easily.&nbsp; Of course, sometimes you inadvertently flash your buns.&nbsp; But then, those highland lasses might just look your way!</p>
