Congrats Maya. I can totally relate. I have a muffin top that's getting larger by the day. However, a friend of mine used to be totally puzzled since she said she saw no sign of it. I kept telling her I just knew how to hide it in how I dressed. Then we were in the dressing room together when we went shopping at the mall when she finally said: "Now I know what you mean". Thanks to Angie's work, it feels great to be able to walk out the door without feeling self conscious of my poochy belly each day.

Maya, but you are indeed very slim!! Yes, honestly, every single picture you posted shows how tiny you are!

Also, like Inge, I would love to see a picture of your outfit (or at least a description)

Yes! Do post a picture of your out-to-dinner-at-the-Chinese-restaurant Maya;-)

Good for you, for taking it as a compliment. And I know you don't always believe us, but you still are tiny and dainty Maya.

I'm always amazed at what random strangers feel it's appropriate to say to other random strangers. That said, I think you definitely should take it as a compliment. I wish you'd post some outfits some time if you have a chance, Maya!

So this weekend I went out for dinner to this Chinese restaurant, where I was the only vegetarian and everyone else ordered meat dishes (I am going somewhere with this, I swear).

After we all got our main courses, the waiter came to ask us if everything was okay and specifically asked me how my food was. I said it was great and I was happy to see that they added more vegetarian options. The next part really should have made me angry but it actually made me happy:

He said something along the lines of how thin I was and how I should eat more meat to gain weight. OK, normally it infuriates me when people--particularly total strangers--make ignorant comments about my dietary preferences, but who doesn't like being told they are thin? I know it wasn't meant to be a compliment, but that doesn't mean I can't take it as one.

When I actually *was* very skinny (less than 100 pounds), people used to tell me how tiny and dainty I was all the time, but 20 pounds later, that doesn't happen anymore, and I really miss hearing it. Hearing it again that night proved that whatever illusions I was creating with my clothes totally work. Hooray for YLF.
