I think metallic works as a neutral--it just seems more dressy than matte. I think I missed out on some of your earlier threads so I'm not sure whether you are looking for dressy or casual. I have the Naya 'Maher' as one of my (many) neutrals--I like it in the off-white and the bronze. They are 8 hour shoes for me but definitely look more granny than the Sofft's you posted.
