You brought to mind a couple of short jackets and matching pants my mom made for me in the 70s. One was plaid seersucker with pinks and golds, which I wore with a matching golden-yellow sleeveless shell. The other outfit, made a few years later, was a plaid cotton with a canvas weave (but not that stiff), in shades of green, which I wore with a matching grass-green sleeveless shell and matching grass-green flats. The epitome of wide leg pants and bomber jacket combo! One fabric was pink “kettle cloth”, kind of a medium weight chambray.&nbsp;</p> <div><br /></div><div>I also made a similar outfit with a cropped blazer from a blush corduroy.
