The pink floral dress it is, then! I love that neckline anyway.

I really like the pink floral one, I think it could look very pretty with the botanical gardens. At the recent wedding we went to in Indonesia, all the bride's first cousins and mother and grandmother wore the same blush pink top, with different skirts. It just looked so lovely and loving and charming, that it really stuck in my mind, as a super nice thing to do, to complement each others outfits.

Both are beautiful. The pink one looks much better suited to a hot, outdoor wedding, to my eye. It will also be gorgeous in photos with your daughter's dress.

Good point about the hosiery. I think I'm going to go with the pink floral one, as long as none of you think it's not formal enough. I fear the sleeves of the purple dress might be too snug for a summer wedding, and that I would get too hot in it. I have to remember that the reception will be outdoors.

Both dresses are lovely and appropriate. The lighter color pink is more summery to my eye. I really enjoyed wearing a long dress to the two summer weddings I attended for my nephew and cousin. I would have felt hosiery was necessary with a short dress - the long dress was much cooler, even outdoor in Hawaii in blazing sun.

OMG she's beautiful, and think both of your dresses would be great depends on the wedding's colorway!

I don't think it's necessary for the moms to wear the same length dress. For my stepson's wedding, I took my cues from the bridesmaids and the overall color scheme of the wedding. It's not necessary to match anything, just to not clash. I wouldn't fret having to coordinate too strongly with the mother of the groom.

I don't know if both mothers have to wear the same length or not. We asked my DD, and she said she hasn't even thought of it, so there's her answer.

I already have both of these dresses in my closet, and will be wearing the purple one on my cruise in December.

I'm with Chiara here. Why do both mothers have to have the same length dress?
But if you do, either of those will be beautiful.

It looks like both the Find dresses are sold out. I like the lace one best (second) for this occasion. Hang on to that short navy dress until you find something you love to replace it.

I love that pink dress and I think it would look very chic with a light pink wrap and some metallic sandals/clutch.
May I ask if it's usually required for both moms to wear the same length dresses?

Both are lovely dresses. The fabrication of the purple one makes the it look more dressy to my eye. While the print dress is lovely it looks more casual. Solid colors sometimes photograph better than prints.

Your daughter looks beautiful in her dress!

Both dresses look appropriate for the occasion - and are lovely. I would base the decision based on the colour and sleeve of the bridesmaids dresses.

I actually think being different to the bridesmaids is a good thing - you don't want to clash but you don't want to match.

Both dresses are beautiful. Since it's a summer wedding, I would go for the lighter one, probably with a shawl during the ceremony.

My DD’s future MIL asked me what I plan to wear to the wedding. I told her about my short navy dress, and she said she can’t wear a short dress due to leg problems. I told her not to worry; I can wear a long dress. The issue is that while my DD’s dress is long with a train, the bridesmaids will all be in short dresses. So which dress? It’s an evening wedding in July at the botanical gardens - indoors (huge greenhouse) for the ceremony and outdoors for the reception. I’m also posting pics of my DD in her dress. I’m thinking the pink floral one, even though she also wants to cover her arms. I can only go so far in the heat, lol. No sleeves in July for me. I don’t know what the bridesmaids’ dresses look like. Thoughts?
