I like this one bc it has princess seams for structure at least.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/278-NW.....5d4ddb8a39

Tough decision. I want something now and am not good at PPP in these situations. But even with ebay prices EF is not cheap. I don't want this to be a wear once type item. I need it to survive until at least next year as well. I also need to work on being ok with surrendering my waist. Lots to ponder before I buy. Thanks for the input, everyone!

I haven't ever been able to make the Finds button work, but here's a washable linen dress with sleeves:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ve.....ts-_-1_3_A

I would say it runs true to size. I am a P2-4, and the smallest size is 2-4, and if a regular size is to fit me at all it has to be a 0-2. :( My shoulders are narrowish and sloping so sadly, this didn't work on me. When I returned to a local Nordies, one of the SAs grabbed it to try on!

I was thinking the sweater topper could be used f more than just over the dress - more practical for me. We'll see! Thx!

I saw the EF crochet topper in the store just a couple of days ago! They showed it over a black sheath dress. It would be a great piece to dress up a simple outfit. I'd wear a grey, taupe, silver or black tank under it.

I have had a good experience with this eBay seller. Although their shipping can be a bit pokey if you're in a hurry. Their merchandise is from Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Victoria's Secret.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/Dresse.....28Women%25

Abc, I have aging arms, no matter what I do, but because of our hot summers, I have learned to make piece with them...same with scooped necklines...I order to keep cool. I general, you are after a fabric that is heavy enough not to need to be lined or to wear a slip. Soft thick linen is the best, as is double layer nylon knit mesh. Soft denim dresses have been favorites. A shift style or straight shirt dress is a better style than something fitted at the waist.

I'm in the Midwest USA visiting family and will be here for about 3 more weeks.

I packed the most summery things I own but they're still not summery enough - went at 830am to the local farmers market in my VC black ponte pants and a 3/4 sleeve shirt and thought I was going to melt. High of 95 today with about 95% humidity (that's my hair's forecast on the humidity - pretty accurate so far). My, how I've forgotten what heat feels like.

Anyway - this is highlighting what I knew from a post of mine a while back. I have gaping holes for summer clothes. I tend to go for toppers and third pieces in my mild climate back home but that won't work here sadly.

I was thinking a dress would be good. Nice and breezy. I have to work on accepting looser silhouettes - I guess now is the time to do it.

I was perusing Nordies and none of their dresses struck my fancy. Looking on ebay now narrowed to EF dresses. Prob is I like to cover my upper arms and I do still like some structure to the garment.

Any recs or links to summer dresses available now to help me deal with this heat? Online only options are ok too. I'm a size L.

Thanks in advance.
