Yes, there are superfund sites to avoid in Broomfield, and you'd have to think about how close you want to be to the landfill in Erie. But overall the Front Range is a lovely place to live. I'd think about traffic and easy access to areas you plan to visit often (family, Denver, Boulder, mountains, etc) more than anything else. So far Arizona has been treating me well, although I think that it helps that El Nino means we've gotten plenty of rain. Right now we are just in a little rental house, but it is great to have a yard and a little more space than either of us had previously. I've enjoyed figuring out where to put what furniture and where to hang what art. The views are gorgeous too. I've had a few commuting issues (insane unplanned year-end roadwork that is being poorly managed) but otherwise it isn't bad. As you may remember, the SO and I recently moved from CO to AZ (new job for me!). Unfortunately, we had a couple snags during the moving process (new job gave me two weeks to get there, then put my start date off by two weeks, we had to file a complaint against the water company with the state to establish service, etc.). We are now settled in (and I'm settling in at the new job) but just got internet service this week after being without for a month. </p> <p>Glad to be back! </p>
