I like your Rorys more Angie, but 2.5" is too high for my wimpy feet :(

Hmm. I will consider the red. I'll have to see it in person. If it's sufficiently muted it might work.

I have not tried them, Maya - but am proud of you for taking the plunge. They look narrower on the foot than my Rory's (which I am just about to duplicate - THAT's how happy my feet are in those boots). Only one way to find out whether they will fit.

I vote red. PLEASE

Believe it or not Kate, I actually thought about getting some kids' Fryes...if only they weren't so short...

Sara, your description gives me pause. I no longer "break in" shoes or doctor them. If they don't fit, they don't earn a place in my closet. I do have luck sizing up though, so maybe that's all it would require.

Anyone else?

I have no wisdom, I'm just glad you're not talking about infant sized fryes, which apparently exist:

maya - Definitely a lovely choice!

I have *these* Frye Cindy Pull on Boots:

http://www.endless.com/FRYE-Wo.....frye+cindy

They seem to have the same shape foot part. I have wider feet, but not quite W width, and they are tight, but improving with each wear. I do not wear heavy socks in my boots and these I started out wearing knee high nylon type socks! I ordered my regular size.

I torture my fussy feet sometimes, so I'm not sure if you would be willing to put up with the adjustment/break in if the foot shape is the same. . . and they are pretty flat (no arch support).

I'm not happy with either of my slouch boots for comfort reasons. It makes me sick how much I spent on them. I could have bought a pair of Fryes and had money left over...

So yes, I'm finally considering a pair. I really like Angie's Rory boots but the heel is going to be too high, so I have set my sights on the Cindy slouch.

http://www.zappos.com/frye-cin.....ck-leather

It's too $$$ for me but it might pop up on ebay or go on sale, especially with all the crazy holiday specials that are coming up soon.

If anyone has tried these, please share your wisdom. The only reservation I have is that pointy toe. Usually that shape tends to cramp my two littlest toes. Sometimes i can get around this by sizing up though.

I'm also not sure about color. I like the Natural color best, but it is sold out in my size everywhere. Red boots are too clownish for my taste and the brown options are so...brown. Sand is too light. That leaves black. Sigh. Another pair of black boots? I just don't know...
