Now, what do you think about coloured shoes from the same family of mid shades? my favourite would be pink, I would even dare to suggest hot pink! And I can just see one of those fabric flower "brooches", for example, at the neckline in pink too - or apricot, or lemon or mauve... the list goes on ).<br /> Your instincts about the cardigan are right, for a start the "cream" colour seems too harsh and bright for the frock (though that may be just the photo). The other problem is that the geometric lines of the cardigan (straight line v-neck, horizontal straight lines at the hems of the cardigan and the sleeves) work against the undulations of the flounce and the bodice: it's too businesslike for this frock, which needs feminine lines, e.g a pashmina, ,or you could be on the look out for a pretty cover-up with rounded edges and lines (no zippers!) e.g. a bolero cardigan, or a light close fitting tailored jacket with rounded lapels and no rightangles. It just looked like such a pretty color and such a nice style that I stopped in yesterday to check it out. Miraculously, it was my size, but it was $15, which is a bit high for Goodwill stuff - but then I noticed that it still had the original store tags! So, I tried it on, it fit perfectly and it came home with me.
