Why that's great Deborah! You can pass on compliments from Auckland! I had a skirt from years ago and my fave ever olive pants with a gold zip down near the ankle from 2013. I was sad when those died in early 2016 because they got those little bits of elastane poking through. They are the ones I haven't been able to replace to my satisfaction. But I think the snakeskin olive leggings may do it. Thanks for the tunic love. Still deciding there.
I am happy they are made in Australia and don't mind that they are imported to here. Friends and rivals right? I buy the brand at a chain called Hartleys. Quite high end but sometimes great sales too. When I get a day off on Wednesday I will likely go and get the snakeskin pants.

Hi Jenni, I think the pants (the ones you are trying on) look good. Nice fit from what I can see I like the olive snake as it seems that bit more subtle. The top in #10 is lovely. I find that length very attractive on you. It creates a kind of "balance" and gives you a nice line creating what I think is a very flattering look. Forgive me for 'name dropping' but I know the designer of the Philosophy Australia. She is a gorgeous woman and designs lovely pieces they only produce three ranges a year and I know the quality is excellent and the majority of their range is made in Australia (Sydney).

Hi thanks both, Ryce you are totally correct that I am trying to make the tops and shoes the statements. The olive snakeskin is more subtle than the navy ones. I think I would get the olive ones but did like the navy also.
Thanks The Cat about the figure flattery- yes the length of the 2 new proposed tunics is more flattering. I am glad you love the metallic one Ryce- it's called a Lurex Tee and is a beautiful shimmery gold. Out with our best friends last night and showed her the pics, she preferred the other one. I will think on it more and check my wardrobe for shoes to go with the gold! Think I have several. Cheers.

Shame about the pant you already own. They look good on you - in fact, I really like your entire outfit of clothing you already own! - but I hear ya' on the ironing.

I like what I see of the pants in 7-8. I'm the same height as you, and yeah, we have to hem everything - that just goes with the territory.

I don't dislike the snakeskin leggings, but if I remember correctly, you have been posting recently about making your tops and shoes your statements and having bottoms be supporting players. Those leggings, especially in the navy seem to me to be more statement-y. But maybe they are more subtle IRL. Do you already have things in your wardrobe that they would go with?

I completely agree with The Cat that the top in 9-10 is terrific on you! I like it layered, too. Is it a bit metallic? The other top is ok, but doesn't have the same wow factor.

Jenni, I think the pants generally look OK. However, some of the tops are bringing a lot of attention to your mid-section.

The top you are using in #9 and later pics creates balance and looks really great on you! The shape as well as the colours seem to be in harmony with yourself, so to say.

So... still not fully happy on the olive pants front. The 21st March long olive pants from Queensland, $60, have proven a little disappointing. They are shown in pics 1-3, all my own clothes. 7 wears, CPW $9 so far. Black layering T 2014 21 wears, olive tunic 2014 21 wears, black boots 2014 24 wears. The pants are thin and needed ironing. I don't think they will last 30 wears. I have another pair of thicker ones for winter from outlet store that were very cheap but have needed several mends.
So pics 4/5 are a possibility- like leggings with subtle snakeskin print, shown with my own tops/boots. Pic 6 is them with another jumper I already own.
Pics 7/8 an alternative, more dressy pant, too long...slightly more expensive, a darker green. Shown with my own bright booties. Pics 9/10/11 then 12/13/14 are 2 possible tunic tops shown unlayered for warmer weather or layered for colder weather. Both shown with the possible snakeskin leggings. Which is better, or neither?
Pic 15 a different pair of leggings I liked but in a navy/ ink snakeskin. I have a relatively new pair of dark straight navy jeans though. Too similar? Have a cobalt tunic, boots and bag though that they might be good with?
I've left them all in the shop for now but can go back. All the same brand, Philosophy Australia. A good brand on me generally. Thoughts?
