It’s not what I wore in the 90s but there are some similarities. In the 90s I didn’t wear denim or sneakers to work - mostly suits or pants and blazers. I did wear jeans in the weekend only. </p> <p>The context is we own a small engineering business - consulting and manufacturing - so our work is practical yet professional. Some people wear hi vis - lots of work polo shirts and jeans with the odd dressy day. I work on site 4 ish days a week. I am office based but visit the workshop most days.</p> <p>I can be more creative than this and sometimes I will be. But for many occasions jeans and a blazer or tailored pants and a knit top are perfect. </p> <p>The new additions here are the navy blazer and the matching pants. And the striped tee.</p> <p>Some of these are more casual - the puffer vest for example. And next week I will be wearing the new suit as a suit for the first time.</p> <p>I am awaiting some new white sneakers to add to this capsule.</p> <p>I have also added some more fun pieces for outside work. I will share some pics of these in a seperate post later on.</p> <p>I think one or two of these felt better than the photo - but that’s how it goes.</p> <p>As it cools further I will add in a couple more knits as well as wool coats. </p> <p>I feel as though it’s a good size capsule for my needs - my only potential addition is new jeans but I am going to hold off and see how I go - I am a happy denim repeater.</p> <p>I still wear slim fit pants as well as wide leg -I like having both as options. I am right off scarves right now so these are all very minimalist and simple.</p> <p>Is anyone else leaning into 90s minimalism more than they thought they would? </p>
