I’m pondering the idea of having a “curated” section in my wardrobe. A fancy way of saying I want to set aside part of my wardrobe for things that I can keep and wear forever. Subject to wear and tear of course. The patchwork bag is one. The ombré jacket is another. </p> <p>Slim cat, I agree completely. I really like the long blazer trend but with a flared midi skirt I look like I’m off to the office. I watch Trinny Woodhall a lot on YouTube. She favours a similar silhouette to me (different colour palette). Lots of midaxi and maxi skirts, and long flared pants. And she tends to wear quite long coats with them. Some are lightweight for warmer weather. They look great but are quite hard to find!</p> <p>Jonesy, all the dogs know each other and get along very well. Still I was surprised at how polite they were about waiting for their piece of cake. I made the frosting from yoghurt, peanut butter and cooked chicken mince. I have no idea what that combination would taste like, but the dogs seemed to like it!</p> <p>Thanks Sal! I find a hip to mid thigh length jacket harder to make work with a midi skirt. In a blazer style it tends to skew the look too workwear-ish for me. And at knee length the proportions don’t look quite right. I’m actually on the lookout for a longer (calf length) coat but there’s not much around in that length.
