I've been thinking about adding color to my wardrobe and this seemed a good way to experiment. I thought the rust would work for me but the burgundy was an experiment, I had no purple tones in my wardrobe, and I found that I really like burgundy.</p> <p>The Cat: I do have other types of shoes but not in colors. I would love a pair of burgundy booties.I tried a pair of burgundy lace up boots at the Fluvog store in Seattle last month but they were stiff so I passed.&nbsp;</p> <p>Runcarla: Thank you. My new home is in a foggy, cool area and I'm in the process of adding warm toppers to my wardrobe. Cardigans seem to work well for home and casual out and about activities. Last fall/winter I bought myself three long cardigans in non-neutral shades (pale lilac, clear lavender, and cobalt blue), and they brought me so much joy and warmth in the dark and cold months. I chose to add three items per month which is about 1/5 of my total. I like variety and about 175 items seems to work for me. I've been sticking to a tight color palette of black, blue, gray, and white and now have a good basic group of wardrobe items in these colors. I do have some items in olive, red, and beige and enjoy wearing them but this month I decided I wanted even more color. I also need to beef up my cold weather capsule because of my move. So, this month I purchased two oversize cardigans. When they arrived, I thought that they looked huge but after trying them on, I decided I liked the look. I tried them with black Banana Republic HR skinny pants today but will try them with ink, white, and pale blue pants, too. My third purchase was my favorite bra from NAS. Styling ideas would be appreciated. What do you think about adding sneakers in burgundy and reddish rust? </p>
