I love fingerless gloves. It’s rarely cold enough here for real gloves (plus I’m a difficult fit), so they are a good option for me. I wish you happy hunting on the mesh tops. It’s a good time for magpies! Column, haha! I’ll take that as a compliment :) Sally, the Cue coat/long jacket is cotton and not as heavy as a true (wool) coat. That makes it much more useful in my climate. I love it. Wish they had repeated it this year in another colour. Angie, I will try to take a picture. They look better with very flat shoes, like sneakers. With my boots (which are more elevated because of the heavy sole) they still feel too short to me. But sneaker season is coming soon. You antiqued/brushed effect metallic accents, sheens and sparkle do all the difference! I sometimes boss my tiered skirts same as you or even easier if I can (only take in the sides, but aggree that is not always enough for an elevated look). I've just have seen the glimmery mesh tops around our shops here in the EU, too-wondering if I could somehow implement as I also have the magpie!:-) And, you had me with the fingerless gloves-I DIY myself 1/3 finger gloves from a black spotted tulle for my prom in 1986 and felt soo very  special.nobody else had! Ah, those were the great times-I would wear them again in a heartbeat but  your fingerless ones seem more wearable IRL, great idea-again!!! I don’t want cropped jeans. And I have mixed feelings about cuffing. I like pants long and cuffed but not cropped and cuffed. I like slouch and puddling. I have let out the hems so that they are raw. That’s given back about 2 cm. And I’ve also made a slit in the inner leg seam so that they open out a bit over my shoe. I saw that as a hack somewhere for making your pants look slouchier. It’s always fun to hear favourites. I could have picked Angie’s in advance. Although I didn’t pick her second favourite! I think I enjoyed the second outfit the most. Loving my wide leg pants! Angie, I was so annoyed about the pants alteration. I was so looking forward to wearing them. And they went from being 2 sizes too big to being tight. And I had to let them down at the hem again. Lucky there was just enough hem left. In a separate incident (different tailor) I asked for jeans to be taken up 4 cm and they took them up 4 inches. They are ruined. It’s taught me to do all my pants hemming myself. Sal, Janet, LJP, slimcat, I don’t know why these skirts are so ubiquitous! But the alteration is reasonably straight forward. Something to keep in mind if you find one you like that is otherwise perfect. Slimcat, have you thought about wearing shorter necklaces? Very 90s and maybe not so much of a nuisance when you are working. Suz, I am seeing a lot of metallic clothing in silver around, so it’s a good time to stock up. It will suit you to a tee. Carol, Helena, Olive Green, I do pay a lot of attention to palette and how that affects vibe. I’m not a “I’m going to wear a teal top because I like teal” person. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.) For me it’s all about how it’s paired with other colours. Thanks for noticing :) Suntiger, you are doing great! But a joint shopping trip would be fab :) Allora, that velvet coat is starting to get a little tatty, but it kind of adds to its charm. At this stage anyway. It’s a pity velvet coats are so hard to find. I think they would be popular. I never thought of it that way.  I'm surprised they're not considered a wardrobe basic, since I always reach for them on my dresser, only to snatch air. I will have to get some soon. Love the layering of the beads, love the plaid skirt you manipulated. That outfit feels very Irish to me. The color combos are masterful, very Gustave Moreau. I love that you have such an individualistic style.
