I can see why you like the red color Shiny. I think red specs somehow looks great on blondes and lighter eyes. You, Ana, and Anne have all proven this.

For me, glasses just seem to follow different rules than clothes when it comes to color. I wear lots of red but I don't think I would want a very bright red on my face. The pair I posted were on the darker side, but even so I thought they might work. I think with my dark hair, eyes, and brows, I really need something lighter, but unfortunately most glasses are dark.

OTOH, I usually hate how colors like lavender and sky blue, but I could see them working in a pair of specs.

Anyway, petite glasses are slowly becoming more common. Anne Klein and Elizabeth Arden both make them. But IMO both leave something to be desired in terms of style. Very conservative.

Sorry - I can't find the thread now! (Maybe because I cranked the point size up to far, LOL).

I took a pic of myself in my 4-year-old, child-sized glasses for you. Please ignore the lack of make-up and the red face (I had some wine with dinner tonight). And they are pushed down my nose a bit, because I had my contacts in and it was all blurry! I think you can get the idea though.

http://s386.photobucket.com/al.....day036.jpg

Like you, I would like something funkier, but I have lots of challenges finding glasses that fit (aren't too wide, and don't rest on my big cheeks and create indents) and flatter and are comfortable - even if I would pay and arm and a leg if I found such a pair! So it's not about price, I think.

Anyway, I wear these often while working at home, but don't wear them out of the house much (maybe once every three months), so these aren't too bad. I think they are the right shape for my square-ish face, and I do like the color. I have had blue and green and purple and gold and bronze frames in the past, and this color is my favorite - to date.
