Thanks for sharing your experience, Lesley. Sacroiliac joint is my problem area too, and it was excruciating during my pregnancies, especially the 2nd one. I did yoga through both, and that helps. But it has been 2 years and I still can't run very much or stand for extended periods of time without pain. So I started seeing a chiropractor, but I just don't know if it would make a difference long term at this point. I am going to stick with it for now, since I am running out of things to try

My first pregnancy brought me to my knees...literally. I couldn't walk, drive, sit, stand for about 8 weeks. I had really bad trigger points, and sacroilliac joint dysfunction. My chiropractor gave me my life back, by getting me back on my feet and getting me through the rest of my term. This was my first experience, and I was sold.

As soon as I found out that I was pregnant with my son, I started going in for adjustments. Once again, my back acted up, but I got a much earlier start in dealing with it. Plus, we planned for the adjustments as part of the overall pregnancy expense. I did much better the second time, without the major downtime. I also incorporated yoga and regular massages, which also helped.

Chiropractic visits have been a great addition to my holistic health care, especially during my pregnancies and post-partum.

Hope this helps.
