I have one shirt that semi-tucks the best, and it is loose, drapey and has a hi-lo hem. I never realized it before, but part of my problem may have been the bottoms I've been trying the semi-tuck with (high waisted skirts) not the tops. Untucked you need a slimmer bottom (tapered bermudas or a pencil skirt perhaps) It's the split hem that might not be working so well here. You end up with a lot of ends.
