I think you need a belt in #2. I love the color, though! I'm not a huge fan of #1, but for casual wear I think it would be fine. #3 is OK as well. I do think a smaller size or a jacket with darts might work better. I say this and yet my own denim jacket is also boxy! LOL...

I am an apple and these kind of dresses always make me look like I am pregnant. If this isn't an issue for you, they look lovely and I would keep them. They look very nice on you.

I also think you need a 2P - even though it was too tight across the shoulder.

NIce dress!

No luck on a smaller size.

I'm wearing a 4P. I tried on a 2P of the white version in the store but it was really tight across the shoulders and was just ever so slightly too tight when buttoned up. The 2P is no longer available on the website anyway.

The regular sizes are even longer in the torso, so those are no good.

I feel pretty good in it - it looks better in real life than in the photos.

Keep #1. The jacket seems a little too long in that it isn't showing your waist by ending at the hip bone. Did you try a smaller size? Does it have stretch?
It does look better from the side. How do you feel in it?

1) Empire waist dress - intended for throwing on when it's hot and humid. Worth keeping? I was thinking of doing some hand embroidery on it to perk it up.

2) Trying to casualize orange formal dress with ATL denim jacket and camisole. I included the side profile to show that it doesn't really look as wide in real life as with the straight on photo.

3) Denim jacket with purple Athleta dress. Looks more flattering with a less full skirt.

How is the jacket supposed to fit? It ends at the top of my hips, just over the hipbone, thereby completely camouflaging my waist. It's supposedly a cropped jacket, so I can't see how I'd find a different version that ended directly on my waist or had waist shaping. Is it too boxy? For reference here's a picture on the model.
