My waist is ~27" and hips ~36", and I wear a Small in their bottoms (swim, capris, pants and shorts). Petites sometimes are too short in the torso or too short in length so it depends on the style. I’m 5’2” and most typically a 4 petite on top. I often am an XsP or a 2p in Athleta, especially if it isn’t fitted.
