Ah, you could be right about those 'bed rest blues'. But I am feeling lighter of spirit today! I am still using the walker for everything. No clue when I'll be up and around. Secretly I'm hoping by week 4 I can put some pressure on the foot and drive myself. I'm almost at week 3 right now.
I agree that I can wait until I'm up and about to try one on in person. I'm on SYC for the month anyway! Just getting ideas lined up

Hey, Girl! I think the skirt is cute, but perhaps you have the bed rest blues? (Any word when you will be back up and at 'em?)

I think you should wait and find a better skirt once you are on the go again! It will be such a treat for awesome you!

Thinking of you.

In my experience, Athleta dresses run small- which is great for me (an XXS fits me well at 5'3 and 100lbs).

I've worn my Athleta dresses to death this (southern hemisphere) summer. I'll definitely be buying more for next year.

I LOVE Athleta, but I have to agree that it really does vary from brand to brand.

I find Athleta pretty TTS or a big large, rarely smaller than sized, and I like the fact that they have petites. I also really like Title Nine for this kind of stuff... and their models are always shown in action, along with descriptions of their lives as moms, business women, etc.

I have no clue on their sizing since I've never ordered from them. But I just received my first catalog from them. Can I just say that I love that they chose athletic looking models for their layouts? Well done, Athleta. I've seen other catalogs choose totally unrealistic models, for instance skinny models for plus-size clothes. But Athleta chose very well.

I hate to add more confusion, but I've found the sizing really inconsistent too. The closest I can come to generalizable wisdom is this: their tops seem to run small to me (but I have a large chest), but their bottoms seem to run pretty big. I will add, though, that it seems like much of their stuff is cut for someone with more a defined waist, which is to say that to get something to fit me in the hips, it's too tight on my squishy waist.

What kills me is that even in the reviews there are conflicting opinions! I'll look specifically for reviews from someone with close to my body type, and one person will say, "I'm large chested, and this is way too tight in the chest!" as another person says, "I'm large chested, and this accommodated the girls nicely!" Who to believe, who to believe?

I've bought several things from Athleta (also Title Nine, Janet, if you're interested let me know) and it has been inconsistent. They usually have separate size charts for each brand that they carry, which is nice, but the different brands are different. Many things run a bit large but I also tried some tank tops than REALLY ran small. On that skirt, the reviews say true to size so I would probably go with the stated sizes.

That's a cute skirt, by the way.

This is a good question. I was just looking at running gear on Athleta and TitleNine yesterday and wondered the same thing.

I was looking at this skirt for summer http://athleta.gap.com/browse/.....#038;ap=14 and wondered if anyone has input on sizing at Athleta. For me Gap and Old Navy (sister companies) run a little big. Is Athleta the same? Thanks for any help!
