It fits really well, and I don't think it is really possible to tell how the colour looks on you given the lighting, but even if it were not the more exciting colour you could easily add colour in the accessories. I'd keep it if I were you. In fact, I have a Calvin Klein dress that looks quite similar and I have had many compliments about it. Wish I'd found mine at Goodwill! I agree that beige isn't the liveliest colour around and it can be difficult to wear... but in this dress... I do simpathize with it. Plus I believe the classic shape of the dress (I like the collar/decolette shape in particular) makes it worth taking home. I am glad you chose to do so. Style it with bright accessories and let us see it again bf you dye it or pass it on! The structure of the piece makes me think classic, not dated. Does it work for me? I think it could be a great professional dress if it does. The top needs to be ironed and a few interior buttons need to be redeem, but that's it.
