Oh, you're right Sarah. Sorry, they used to show UK sizes.

Their US sizing is confusing because they arbitrarily start at a size 2. I might be wrong but I never see anything in a size 0--only 2 and up. For all intents and purposes, an ASOS 2 *is* a 0...but I wouldn't say they run small. It's just that their sizing scheme is different. I wear a 2 most of the time, sometimes even a 0, and I always order a 4 from ASOS because their 4 is actually a 2. It is the second smallest size.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining this very well...

I guess it also helps to know your Euro and UK size. Looking at their size conversions helped me feel less confused and disoriented because I'm a remarkably consistent UK 8/Euro 36.

Thanks for the input! I am in the midst of a horrendous first experience with an online retailer and am unusually gunshy because of it. Sarah, I think we'll have to compare notes when our goodies arrive.

So hm. When I picked my size, it gave me the option of US sizes. I hope I got it right!

Adding 6 to whatever your US size is to get your UK size usually does the trick. I am a US 2/UK 8, and the ASOS 8 has always fit.

I have never had any issues with their customer service, but I have heard some horror stories. None have stopped me from shopping there though. They have tracking information available for international orders, which is fantastic, and the shipping and return shipping is free. I have returned items (to a US address, btw), and have always been promptly credited. It sucks that some people have had bad experiences, but IMO you just have to weigh that risk and judge for yourself. I probably wouldn't buy something that was hundreds of dollars from them, but the inexpensive stuff I get is worth what I perceive to be a pretty small risk.

I just placed my first order a few days ago, so I'm waiting on pins and needles to see what happens. I have appreciated the frequent email updates so far.

I recently purchased two tops from Asos and found the size charts quite helpful. The size chart directed me to 3 sizes up from my US size (size 2 to a size 8) and that worked nicely for me. I have not had to return anything yet so I cannot speak about returning.

I've had great ASOS shopping experiences. Their size charts are pretty accurate, the quality is good - and they ship free both ways. I'm a big fan of their runway videos - they can't cheat (as much) to make the clothes fit perfectly!

I am considering ordering something from Asos for the first time and have a couple of questions for those of you have experience with them. First, have you found their sizing accurate? Any pointers on sizing up or down? Second, has your customer experience with them been good? If you've purchased from them before, will you do so again? Anything else I should consider with this online retailer?
