Haha! I went there twice in 1994 when I was a Nanny in Northamptonshire and remember the shopping quite fondly!! But as I say way out of touch.

Thank you for the feedback. I just saw this. I went ahead to London anyway and took the train/tube transfer. Unfortunately, most of the stores has removed the sales clothing and only have the new arrival stuff. They are nice, but I didn’t get anything. The new items are out of my price range.

The Boden storefront is nice, I am disappointed by their choices, since I know there are more items online.

Harrods is a crazy maze that I would not go again if I can help myself.

My sister suggested Selfridges. I don’t know if I want to trek to London just for 1 store.

Out of touch - but years ago Peterborough had a good collection of mall shops..... quite close by to Cambridge. Milton Keynes is another option.

You could always try searching Google on your phone for stores near your location and see what pops up to pick from

I am currently visiting my sister in Cambridge England. I have thought that traveling to London will be an easy train ride away. We have travelled to London to do some sightseeing, and I realized that the traveling is not that fun. It’s long journey and at the end of the day, will need to travel northwards to Cambridge and it’s tiring. Plus the day is shorter and I don’t quite like staying out in the dark.

While I have did some shopping in Cambridge, there’s not a lot to offer. I am wondering if you have recommendations along the Cambridge-London route that I can stop at, instead of traveling all the way to London, or at least closer to King Cross station. I will be by myself for those trips.

I’ve been to Hobbs, Jigsaw, Joules, John Lewis in Cambridge, some high-street fashion boutique when we were in London. I know I would like to go to COS again to see if I can find clearance bargains.

While I would like to go checkout Boden store, looking at the train/tube transfer to reach there seems like another journey (at least when I look at the map), so may give that a skip.

Or I should ask this way, what is the one store I should not miss, if even just to look what’s inside. I figure if I am going to make another trip to London, it should be something big.
