Maybe a print or plaid shirt under it? I would personally tend towards rust, salmon or black and white, like one of these?

The taupe tank you just posted is gorgeous. I can't really tell if it would work with the utility shirt, but it would certainly look fab with your white or taupe jeans.

Is the shirttail long enough to knot it at the waist? If so, you could knot it over a mid-hip length tank...maybe a floral or white or navy or burgundy. That may help it work better with the taupe jeans in addition to the blue and white pairs.

The closest oxfords I could find in Finds were these. Mine are slightly more detailed. I wonder if this taupe tank work?

Thank you all for the suggestions, am happy to hear more.

I will definitely add jewelry and makeup. The delicate shoes are a little harder sometimes, depends on the weather of course. I have some more delicate sandals but other than those the only other pair are suede taupe oxfords that do seem more feminine to me. They are streamlined in style and have some nice cut work detailing. I wonder if I could get away with layering the top over a taupe tank or cami so the shoes would bookend...and I have a taupe handbag.

Thanks for a new blog to look at! I have a camo utility shirt that I wore yesterday over a black & white stripe tee similar to how she wore it. I also like the idea of layering over a lace tee or adding a broach or pearls. I will also wear mine with black jeans and black skirts.

The blogger's shirt is very fluid, giving it a feminine vibe. Here's a feminine look with a jacket rather than a shirt, but maybe it could give you some ideas for your shirt.

Looking at the above (color and style) I can really only see myself wearing it with dark blue jeans or white jeans. The other two seem to similar in color reading kind of "uniform" to me.

The blogger is using the shirt as a jacket. You could do that with a white ruffled blouse or boho peasant top under it to make it more feminine. Maybe add pearls. Wear it with pink, blush or baby blue.

I have a utility shirt similar to the one in this blog post and while she gave a couple of examples, I'm still not sure how to make mine more feminine and maybe more polished. But I don't wear skirts or dresses. I was thinking maybe adding a feminine necklace that had a little color would be one addition. I have taupe jeans, white jeans, dark blue. I also have the dark green olive embroidered WHBM "cargo" pants.

http://frenchblissme.com/6-sup.....ity-shirt/

The one I liked best here was with the white jeans and heels (I would sub lower heels in a similar style).

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions on how they might style it.

I tried to add the shirt in Finds but couldn't. It's from AE.

ETA: I found a similar shirt in the Finds but it's a jacket and mine is a true shirt that can be tucked.
