The bag is just too well made to be fake. The zip is exactly the same as the one on my wallet. The zip actually has a little "s" on it when you look at it from the front and a little "YKK" on the side, the same as on my wallet. Quality and weight exactly the same. The inside has a bit of smooth "leather" and its so soft, and really feels exactly like the interior leather in my wallet. The faux leather is like the softest and feels EXACTLY like real leather. I've only ever seen this on Stella McCartney items. The sandals I bought have this as the "lining" as well. I imagine its really hard and expensive to produce. Other products often feel plasticy or just bad quality. The shaggy deer is soft and feels the exact same as my wallet. The chain is diamond cut and great quality. Its sewn on really well and stiff and all perfect. It had a little plastic clasp guard too (I've seen on YouTube unboxing) and it has a farfetch tag attached. I think if this was a fake, the materials and craftsmanship would equal Stella McCartney quality and the price I paid so i'm guessing its just the real deal. </p> <p>Overall, I think I was being paranoid over nothing heh. It was probably just human error in the warehouse. </p> <p>I also noticed Janet, you know yours says "SP19" that's the collection it came from. Spring 2019. My number is at the top but it says "WI21" or Winter 2021. </p> <p>As for whether I need/want the bag. I do need a black bag too, well one in each colour: Navy, black, silver, white, olive, burgundy so I suppose my Stella will just be my black one. </p> <p>You know the weird thing, I saw this design earlier and thought it was nice and would go with how I imagine my wardrobe to look soon. Must be fate this one arrived. I actually realised the tiny bag is probably a bit too small for what I wanted, I need the mini instead. I just checked out farfetch and they said they don't include paper invoices or return labels to be environmentally friendly. So that's the reason for no packing slips. Not sure why we got the wrong bag, but I expect its probably just a human error when sending out. I feel better that it is genuine now, I think they are probably just in the process of changing the colour of the tags inside too, maybe only with some lines at first. They'll know the features of that style. </p> <p>I heard that the shaggy deer material is incredibly expensive to make (even more so than some leathers) and its quite hard to fake. It feels and looks exactly like my wallets so I'm thinking is it authentic, or if it isn't it would be an incredibly well made fake. The chains are sewed on well and it has all other features of a genuine bag. Including the little plastic protective cap over the magnetic clasp. It also has a farfetch tag attached but no Stella McCartney ones. I'm not sure they even have tags on bags. </p> <p>Farfetch sell genuine products so I'm probably worrying over nothing. But it is a strange situation, unless my husband bought two bags for me and isn't letting on...and I don't know how likely that is haha. </p> <p>It is just a weird situation right?</p> <p>My birthday is exactly a month from now so I won't use it until then but want to be able to return it if something isn't right. Other luxury shops I've bought from include a return label but they haven't. It might just be their policy to do everything online. Anyway it arrived without any farfetch packing slips/invoice etc. So then I started to worry if it wasn't authentic. Another problem is they seem to have sent the completely wrong bag!! We ordered a tiny tote in navy and one of the new season ones showed up. Its black chevron in small tote size. Its a lot more expensive than the tiny tote...so I said let's keep it. Do you think I should inform farfetch? </p> <p>Anyway, it does have a date stamp inside the pocket but its on a black label and they've previously been white. I was wondering if they've changed them recently.
